Munster Senior & Junior Indoor T&F championships

Togher athletes competed at the Munster Senior & Junior Indoor T&F championships held at Nenagh today. The club had two athletes in action with Tim Healy and Rob O' Neil taking part in the senior & junior race walking event held over 5000m. Tim had a good walk to open his season taking gold in 24.30. Rob had a fine race in his first ever 5km race and took the bronze medal in 27.11. Rob is still only u17 and has many years left to compete as a Junior. Both athletes will be in action again indoors in the coming weeks. Also competing in Nenagh were some of the clubs sprinters. Ronan Foley opened up his season with a fine race in the 60m final finishing 4th in 7.29. Liam O' Brien also racing for the first time this season came a fine 2nd in the 400m final in 54.49. In the mens 800m Kieran Cunningham was a great 3rd in 2.08. Well done to all who competed.
