National Senior T&F championships

Togher athletes competed at the National Senior T&F championships at the weekend in Santry and returned home with two gold medals. Robert Heffernan competed in the 10km walk and had a good outing, winning easily in 39.11 having led from gun to tape. This sets Rob up well for the World championships in Berlin on August 15th. Marian Andrews has had recent injury problems but put all this behind her with a fine win in the 400m in 55.02. She won very easily in the end and always looked in control. Liam O Brien had a good run in the 400m heats and other good performances came from Tim Healy 10km walk, Ronan Foley 100m, Peter Fennell 1500m and Tony Kelleher in the 800m with a PB. Well done to all.
