Celtic Cup

Marian Andrews competed for Ireland at the weekend in the Celtic Cup held in Cardiff. This was Marians first international race and her first time competing for Ireland. She was lining up in her favourite event the 400m. Marian has been in fine form of late resulting in a silver medal at last weeks National Senior Indoor championships. This superb form continued in Cardiff with Marian winning in 56.45. Marian was also part of Irelands winning 4*400m relay team. Congratulations to her on some great performances at the weekend.
The club now turns its attention to the Munster Schools Cross-Country championships which take place on Thursday in Tramore Racecourse Waterford. All-Ireland qualification is on the line with many of the clubs athletes looking to qualify. The club has athletes competing for Douglas CS, Colaiste Chriost Ri, Ballincollig CS and Colaiste an Spioraid Naomh. Best of luck to all competing.
