BHAA 4 mile road race

Togher athletes took to the road at the weekend running in the BHAA 4 mile road race on Sunday. Held of the flat Marina circuit the club had roughly ten athletes take part. At present no official results are available outside of the top ten finishers. Craig Murphy continued his build up to the European Cross-Country championships in December with a good 2nd place finish in 19.36. Mark Hanrahan won the race in a superb 18.50. Eoin O’ Sullivan had a great run also coming 6th in 20.30 and also Tony Kelleher with a 7th place finish in 21.15. Others to run well were Donal Coakley, David O’ Keeffe, Richard Quirke, Rob O’ Shea and Cormac Lehane.
The next competition for the club is the 2nd leg of the Munster Cross-Country championships next Sunday in Co. Clare with the club fielding u13, u15, u17, and u19 teams. Best of luck to all competing.
