BHAA John Buckley 5km Road Race

Togher athletes took to the road this week, taking part in the annual BHAA John Buckley 5km Road Race. The race was held on the flat and fast Marina circuit and had over 600 participants. First home for the club was Eoin O Sullivan running a great time of 16.11 for 15th place. He was followed closely by Shane Coffey in a superb 20th with 16.23 and Kieran Ryan 26th in 16.38. Donal Coakley had a great run with 16.53 for 29th place. Three of the old Togher stalwarts were in action also with Pa Murphy running 18.50, Ryan O Callaghan 19.31 and Tony Lilly 19.33.
Best of luck this weekend to Marian Andrews competing in the European Team championships in Slovakia and all the juvenile athletes competing at the Munster u14-u19 T&F championships in Waterford.
