Dublin Graded Meet
Date: 17/7/09
Togher athletes travelled to Dublin to take part in the latest round of the Dublin Graded meet series. It proved to be a great nights racing with the athletes recording 7 new PBs. Peter Hanrahan took part in the Junior mens mile and finished 5th in 4.31 a new PB. In the 800m Brian Murray finished 2nd in the B race 2.04 off a slow pace, with Tony Kelleher and Alan O Brien just behind having super runs just outside their PBs with both running 2.05. Cullen Lynch and Emmet Bracken also ran new PBs with 2.07 and 2.10. In the C race Mark Seacy and Ian Tobin had outstanding races knocking huge chunks off the previous best times finishing 2nd and 3rd in 2.10 & 2.11 respectively. Eoin Bourke also had a fine run finishing just outside his PB. Finally in the D race Andrew O Keeffe produced a magnificent race to run a big PB and Jamie Sullivan also continued his recent PB streak. Well done to all involved.
Next weekend sees some of our u14-u19 athletes taking part in the final day of the National championships in Tullamore. Best of luck to all.
