Weekend Report

Togher athletes competed at the weekend at the Munster u11-u15 T&F championships in Castleisland and at an international meet in Geneva Switzerland, producing some outstanding results in the process.
At an international meet in Geneva, Marian Andrews continued her improvement with a great 54.02 in the 400m for 4th place. Marian has also been selected on the Irish team to attend the 2nd European Team Championship to be held in Budapest (HUN) on June 19-20. All at the club would like to wish her the very best of luck.
At the Munster u11-u15 T&f championships the performance of the day came from Jack O Mahony winning the u14 800m in 2.16 and Alan Ring had a great run to take 3rd in the u15 800m. Robert O Neill also had a fine win in the u18 boys 5km walk. Well done to all.
Next weekend sees the clubs older juvenile athletes take part in the Munster u16-u19 T&F championships at Cork IT. Best of luck to all competing.
