Weekend Report

It was a quiet weekend for the club on the competition front with only one athlete in action. Donal Coakley recorded one of his best results to date finishing 19th in the Mallow 10 Mile Road Race. Held in wet and windy conditions Donal ran a fine race covering the 10 miles in 58.28. Donal has been in great form of late having finished 7th in the Bandon 5 mile road race recently in 27.46.
The action switches to Cross-Country this week for the club with several of the clubs younger athletes competing on Wednesday, at the annual DCU Schools Invitational Cross-Country event. The club also competes next weekend at the Munster Senior & Junior Cross-Country championships in Waterford.
