Cork u11-u19 & Novice Cross-Country championships

Togher athletes enjoyed another hugely successful day at the Cork u11-u19 & Novice Cross-Country championships held in Killeagh, winning the u13, u15, u17 and u19 team titles.
In the u13 race the clubs newest young athletes raced over 1200m with Jack O Mahony a great 2nd and other great runs from Liam Harris 7th, Rory Casey 14th, Rory Barry, Stephen Cotter and Dennis Moore. The team had a great win in the team event.
In the u15 race Eoin Bourke ran a very strong race coming 2nd and was backed up by Billy Murphy 3rd, Brendan Couch 5th, Cillian Crowley 6th, Jamie O Connell 7th and John Durcan 10th. The team finished 1st and the "B" team 2nd.
In the u17 4000m race Patrick Coleman ran strongly to his 6th consecutive county title and other great runs came from Ian Hartnett 3rd, Cullen Lynch 4th, Mark Seacy 5th, Ian Tobin 6th and Emmet Bracken 7th. In the team event the "A" team was 1st, the "B" team 2nd and the "C" team 3rd.
Finally in the u19 race over 6km the team finished a fine 1st with superb races from Peter Hanrahan, Rob O’ Shea, Adam Kelleher, Alan O Brien, David O’ Keeffe and Rob Long.
In the novice mens 6km race the team did well with Shane Coffey leading them home in 4th place and other solid runs from Patrick Murphy, Alex Kelly and Craig Harrington.
