16^th of August

Congratulations to Tony Kelleher who won All-Ireland gold today at the All-Ireland Masters T&F championships in Tullamore. Tony won 800m gold in a new PB of 2.02.33. He has had a very successful season running a PB of 4.10 for 1500m also and winning double gold at the Munster Masters T&F championships.

14^th of August

Robert Heffernan and wife Marian both competed at the European T&F championships in Barcelona and were oustanding in the process. Robert finished with two 4th places in the 20km & 50km walks and Marian was part of the womens 4*400m relay team that set a new national record. Congratulations to them both, the club is very proud.

25^th of July

Togher juvenile athletes completed their track season at day 3 of the u14-u19 T&F championships held in Tullamore today. Peter Hanrahan and Ian Hartnett took home a pair of silver medals in the 1500m and Robert O' Neill won gold in the u18 5km walk.

17^th of July

Tony Kelleher and Patrick Murphy produced superb races at the Cork Graded meet last Monday. Tony won the 3000m in a new PB of 9.02 with Patrick 8th in 9.23. Well done to both athletes who are in great form of late.

13^th of July

Robert Heffernan produced an outstanding performance at the National Senior T&F championships at the weekend to record his 8th consecutive win and take the athlete of the meet award and a cheque for €1000. His wife Marian also took home a silver medal in the 400m in a new PB and our young juniors brought home plenty of PB's in the junior 3000m.
