It was a hugely successful weekend for the club with athletes competing in the EAP meet in Namur Belgium, the British Milers Club meet in Watford and the National T&F League in Cork IT.

There was great news for the club today with Marian Andrews being selected on the Irish team for the European Team championships (formerly the European Cup) being held in Slovakia on June 20th/21st. Marian competes in the 400m and 4*400m relay. Also, five Togher athletes have been selected on the Munster team for the Tailteann Schools Interprovincial Games due to be held in Tullamore on June 27th. They include Peter Hanrahan 1500m, Patrick Coleman 1500m S/C, Mark Seacy 1500m S/C, Robert O Neill 2km race walk and Cillian Fleming 2km race walk. Best of luck to all in both competitions.

Ian Hartnett representing Colaiste Daibheid runs in the junior race and Peter Hanrahan & Patrick Coleman both representing Douglas CS race in the inter race. Best of luck to all three athletes.

It was a fantastic weekend for Togher athletes with Marian Andrews reaching the semi final of the 400m at the European Indoor T&F championships in Turin, Douglas CS winning their first ever All-Ireland Schools team title and two Togher athletes gaining selection on the Irish Schools Cross-Country team.

Update: More good news from Turin at the European Indoor T&F championships where Marian Andrews led the Irish team to a 4th place finish in the womens 4*400m relay and Peter Hanrahan received a late call up to the Irish Schools Cross-Country team.

About the Club
Togher AC Logo Togher Athletics Club is an athletics club based in Cork City that was founded in 1966. The club is based in Togher but also trains regularly in Maradyke Arena track in the city. Directions and membership information can be found in the membership section.
The New Website
The Togher AC website was given a face lift recently. Content is still in the same sections, however the photo albums are now organized by year.
